Bret began his real estate career in the executive office at Pacific Design Center. Ten years later he shifted into the mortgage world and wrote $25 million+ worth of mortgages annually. He's had a lifelong love of residential architecture and amassed an encyclopedic knowledge of Los Angeles' premiere properties and architects, past and present. He's written numerous articles, and his book about famed Southern California architect Gerard Colcord ("Colcord Home"), was published in 2008. Bret is a sought-after speaker and lectures throughout the United States.
While handling mortgages he realized he often functioned in the capacity of a realtor, so he officially made the transition to a real estate agent several years ago. Countless transactions later, Bret was asked by John Aaroe to create and implement "Aaroe Architectural," the dynamic new architectural properties division at John Aaroe Group.

As a photography student at Pasadena's Art Center College of Design, Frank became aware of the architectural photography of Julius Shulman and the fabulous homes he portrayed. Frank was also introduced to the craftsman style of Greene & Greene architecture, leading to a fascination with Los Angeles' architectural styles.
Having lived in various parts of Los Angeles for over 30 years, Frank developed an extensive knowledge of the diverse architecture that enriches our city: the Uplifters' Cabins in Rustic Canyon, to amazing enclaves of Mid-Century Modern houses, to legendary Hollywood Spanish mansions, to traditional-style estates in Beverly Hills, and to beach houses along the coast. This knowledge is a priceless asset for a realtor representing buyers and sellers of these special properties.
